New Delhi. Three new laws – Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Defence Code and Indian Evidence Act – have come into force across the country from today. The first case under the Indian Judicial Code has been registered at Kamala Market police station in the national capital Delhi. Late night, a police team patrolling the area saw that a man had set up a stall in the middle of the road near New Delhi Railway Station. He was selling water and gutkha on it. Because of this, people were facing trouble in commuting. After this, the policeman present on the spot asked his name and address and registered an FIR under section 285 of the new law BNS and started the investigation.
