The DHS double ottoman bed is built on a reinforced metal frame beneath its upholstered exterior. This provides dimensional stability,  the frame does not flex under load, does not absorb moisture, and holds the gas-lift hinge points rigidly in position through years of repeated opening. The engineered wood base panel distributes the mattress and sleeper load across the full frame width. Two rows of sprung wooden slats above ensure the mattress is properly supported and aerated.
