Picking furniture for our first baby’s room in Southampton meant everything had to match the neutral colour scheme. A white wardrobe with drawers slotted in beside the cot and held tiny sleepsuits on miniature hangers. The drawers caught muslins and bibs that would have otherwise piled up on the changing table.
