Water efficiency and water conservation have been a key focus for Ontario in the past. The water conservation goals in Ontario include efficient water use, reduced water wastage, improved monitoring, and innovative technologies and services regarding water. On a national level, the Canadian government has pointed out that there is an unequal distribution of Canada’s fresh water and that the supply of water depends on climatic conditions as well as various human interventions.
