MTP Kit has been on the rise, with more than 53% of MTP in the USA performed using MTP Kit in 2024. In England and Wales, 61% of MTP were also carried out using MTP Kit at home by 2022. The reason for this rise in use of medicine to perform early MTP on oneself has to do with the fact it’s highly effective when done within 5 to 12 weeks of gestation, the privacy it provides, low cost compared to the surgical alternative, etc. Almost 98% of cases do not even require any medical follow up.
