Our client was to take part in a trade event in Melbourne with their own booth to promote their business. Since they were responsible for building and decorating the booth, the client needed to find a way to capture the attention of attendees without putting more work on their shoulders. The Problem To attract visitors and amplify the message of the business, our client needed a welcoming and visually engaging booth that could stand out from the rest. Yet, they had a few specific requirements: Temporary decor: They only needed the decor for the duration of the event. Purchasing new decor would have been impractical as they had no further use for it. Hassle-free: The client needed a setup that was easy to install and dismantle. With a tight schedule, they didn’t want to worry about complex assembly or disassembly. Maintenance-free: They needed decor that didn’t require ongoing maintenance and wouldn’t ask for extra attention during the event. Visually appealing: The client wanted the decor to make the booth approachable without overshadowing the displays or branding. They needed a balance between visual appeal and subtlety. After researching different ideas for some time, they ultimately decided to go with artificial hanging plants on the booth rods and pillars. Then, after a bit more research, they chose Designer Plants as their supplier, and we recommended a few different artificial plants for hire that could meet their specific needs. During the Process The client had clear goals for their booth decor and we were intent on meeting their requirements. Since this project is a bit different than our regular ones in that it’s not meant to be permanent decor, our approach differs as well. Usually, we tend to highlight the artificial greenery we install and make it become a focal point in the space. For this project though, we needed to do the opposite – make it eye-catching but not distracting so that it doesn’t hog all the attention away from the business itself. The booth, and the venue itself, were industrial in nature, with rigid lines and a strictly utilitarian appearance. So, we decided to cluster various lush artificial hanging plants together and arrange them along the top of the booth. For this event, we used our rental service and installed their fauxliege for just a few days.
