Sa Phan Don, or the 4000 Islands, is a very alluring secret of Southeast Asia, which the southern parts of Laos harbour. When the Mekong River overflows and sweeps out prior to entering Cambodia, an archipelago in the form of labyrinthic sandbars and islands is produced.
